Kounalakis and Caroline seek to deepen cultural and tourism ties with India
Lt. Governor of California, Eleni Kounalakis and Caroline Beteta, President & CEO, Visit California will jointly address media in the national capital tomorrow

With an aim to enhance economic relations between California and India, explore potential business and investment opportunities, and deepen cultural and tourism ties, the Lieutenant Governor of the State of California, Eleni Kounalakis will arrive in National Capital Delhi on Wednesday (January 15)
She will be leading a high-powered delegation of the Bay Area Business Council to India, comprising of top business people from Aviation, Finance & Consulting, Hospitality, and Information Technology industries.
The Lieutenant Governor will be accompanied by Caroline Beteta, President & CEO, Visit California. During her stay, Ms. Kounalakis and the delegation will also meet key government and industry leaders.
Coinciding with the Lt. Governor’s visit, Visit California is organizing their first ever “Sales Mission to India” with participating delegates and CEO’s from leading destinations and attractions in California.
On this occasion, the Lt. Governor and Caroline Beteta will jointly address a press conference. The visiting CEOs include: Julie Wagner, CEO, Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau; Misti Kerns, CEO, Santa Monica Travel & Tourism; Kathy Janega-Dykes, CEO, Visit Santa Barbara; and Tom Kiely, CEO, West Hollywood Travel + Tourism Board.
